Sunday Night Confessional

i'm in the middle of an 11 day cleanse (currently on day 8) and it's actually not bad... well, 65% of the time.

for the majority of the time, you can eat normal (healthy) food - you just have to substitute one to two meals a day with this organic, gluten free protein shake drink. the other 35% of the time is spend on the hardcore back-to-back cleanse days. i have to drink this cleanse powder/water mixture 4 times a day and am only allowed to eat celery and an organic apple. eek. i already did part 1 of the foodless cleanse.. tomorrow and tuesday are the last time i'll have to do it. thank god for that.

i was super sick this weekend and literally did not go out once.

took of work friday, stayed in the burbs and hung with my seester friday night, was a lazy bum saturday, went back to the burbs today with lisa and her family for some bears vs. packers (ehh) and greek food. one one hand, i kind of feel like i wasted my weekend, not having gone out or really done anything at all. on the other hand, i feel a million times healthier than i did on friday. and i'm not allowed to drink on this cleanse anyway. :)

can't wait for denner at el jardin this week!!

i was watching some repeat oprah episode tonight with alecia moore, better known as pink, as the guest.

they were talking about her famous grammy (emmy?) performance with the cirque de soleil bidness & her new(est) album, funhouse. they then moved on to discuss her year-long breakup from her husband. i didn't realize that one of my favorite pink songs, "i don't believe you," is what brought them back together. i love that!

oprah then asked what she learned from that time apart.

pink said that she used to think that she was perfect & in their time apart, she learned to recognize her weaknesses & work on herself. her dad always told her...

"think of 20 things you want in a partner. now make sure you have all of those."

i thought that was so intriguing.

okay, so i watched the season premiere of the hills tuesday night & all i have to say is... woof.

apparently i've completely fallen out of touch with the celeb goss because i had no. idea. how dramatic heidi's surgeries were. no idea. it's sad! i'm 100% team lc, but i actually do like heidi -despite her awful music, annoying ass husband, and complete persona of fakedom. she's sweet & smart & (was) gorgeous. why would she do this to herself!? gf looks 40.

& i'm desperately in need of a new one. after heavy use over the past year, my deena & ozzy is literally falling apart. i really love it though. what do you think?? should i re-buy my d&o bag (i do get the 40% off) or go with something else?

sometimes i feel like blogging is taking over my life.

what with work, everyday life, 500 million posts on google reader, & my blog to tend to each day, i've turned into a stressed mess. i won't pull a miley, but i may have to go into hiding for a few days. so don't hate if i'm quiet this week.
