my louis vuitton was stolen last night.

i set it down on the stage right in front of me at the bar, along with all of our jackets. all of a sudden this drunk girl came up by us and was dancing (flailing) around. next thing i know, i turn to talk to friends behind me and that chick runs off with my purse.

long story short, she's an idiot. instead of running out of the bar, she ran to the bathroom. one of the girls i was with chased her and stood outside the stall. since she was obviously unable to stick a louis inside her purse, she left my speedy bag in the bathroom and made a run for it. when she bolted out of the stall after 10 minutes, the girl i was with grabbed her and called security. i got my bag back, but my wallet was missing. don't worry, i got that back too.

guess where it was?

in the tampon garbage can in the bathroom stall. she was going to come back for it.

guess what she was wearing?

a burberry scarf and a marc jacobs bag.

guess what she got out of the deal?

$50 cash. was it worth it?

guess where she is now?

in jail.

guess where i'll be on january 27, 2011?

testifying against her in court.

then, after all this, i got a bit of a bomb dropped on me by the guy i've been talking to.

last night was clearly memorable.

...anyway...

Sunday Night Confessional

i love that chicago constantly has street art exhibits popping up around the city.

like this display that stopped me in my tracks while walking to watertower on friday.

i have a horrible track record when it comes to losing expensive things.

two weekends ago it was my gold aviator ray bans. this weekend it's the ankle strap on one of my shoes. THE ANKLE STRAP. how do you even lose the strap to a shoe!?

i'll tell you how. by 2am your feet hurt so badly that you decide you just can't take another second of wearing shoes. so you take them off and walk home through the sidewalks of chicago barefoot. the next morning you wake up disgusted by the blackness coating the bottom of your feet and mourning the loss of yet another pair of shoes and the hundreds of dollars you spent on them.

i remember a lot from friday night. i remember going to a rooftop pre-party with my friend jacqueline from work, taking a bus to duffy's, moving on to lasalle power co., running into a past coworker at social 25, meeting up with guy friends at bull & bear, being yelled at by a cabbie, having some random cute guy protect jacqueline and me from that angry cabbie, convincing said random to order (and help me devour) nachos from angelo's burritos, & walking home sans shoes.

i do not, however, remember eating a chocolate cake star. lets just hope that's because it was jacqueline that ate it, not me. i hope i hope i hope.

my mom started a blog for her interior design business, tiger lily collection.

love it! go, mom - you social media master! or at least you will be. :)

Sunday (Monday) Night Confessional

i was way to wiped from this weekend to post sunday night confessional last night.

i almost didn't do it tonight either, but here it is....

i downloaded the new moon soundtrack the day after seeing it for the 1st time & have been listening to it nonstop ever since.

yes, i saw it twice.

once with taryn.. on opening night... shameful. the 2nd time was with margaux. & it was her 2nd time too, so that's semi-less embarrassing. ?

this child still amazes me.

& i want her sparkly tights.

i am about to spend my life savings at urban outfitters.

the worker's appreciation 40% off all items (including sale & home stuff) starts tomorrow. i am 100% positive i'll be buying these boots & these knee socks for underneath. it's very likely i'll also be buying this, this, & about 5 other things that i love love love but have yet to try on.

i have to find a date to the patti group christmas party this friday.

these photos remind me so much of my nana and great aunt. i've heard stories & let me tell you - they were wild women in their youth. how i wish i could've spent a day gambling, dancing, champagning at noon & getting into trouble with those little ladies. ;)
