Sunday (Monday) Night Confessional

i miss my dallas friends!!!

austin has come up in conversation like 5 times in the past month and it just takes me back to river floating, 6th/4th streeting, sunburns and gay bars with "my girls" bahaha.

i am beyond! excited! to move into my new apt.

fridayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - if all goes as planned. our technical move-in date is tuesday the 1st but the place is vacant so we're seeing about getting the keys early.

i mean this in the least conceited way possible: juggling the men currently in my life is exhausting.

dinners, lunches, parties, bars, friends, work, need sleep ah. more deets on that will just have to be discussed offline, haha.

this weekend was super fun but also extremely.... interesting.

so great. so terrible.

i'm going to start painting and generally reconnecting with my love for art.

and i'm going to start by trying to recreate this little baby for my apt. love!

Thank You Note

i drew this the other day & included a (short) handwritten note on the blank pages. turned out cuter than i had expected!

p.s.

the lenses on my glasses have gotten all scratched up over the years, so i finally sent them in to be replaced. i don't have an extra pair & you know my issues with wearing contacts for an entire day. so basically, i spend about 4 hours of the day being completely blind & this will continue for the next 2 weeks unless my eyes magically begin producing an excess of tears.

i just realized last night that if it weren't for the fact that i'm half jobless & living with my parents like a complete loser, i probably wouldn't have found that old sketch book packed away, which is what encouraged me to start drawing again. i also probably wouldn't have nearly as much time to blog & enjoy the lovely chicago summer weather, which we all know will be gone too soon.

Sheer, my dear...

i used to be strictly anti when it came to sheer tights, always opting for the opaque variety or none at all. but i've been seeing sheer black tights pop up lately & i'm loving them!

especially with the sweet little polka dots. hearts? extra points. :)

a girl i know is trying to round up a group to go skydiving at the end of august. i've always wanted to go skydiving, but i'm terrified!! should i do it!?

remember when i said that i wanted to be a fashion designer when i was little? well even though i've (mostly) given up on that dream, i still pretend sometimes.

i love fashion. i love to draw. & i especially love to draw fashion.

so that is exactly what i did while watching pride & prejudice (oh, & marie antoinette too) last night.

i always opt for a double featch.
