the suburbs were hoppin this weekend!

the peeps came to the burbs for some tracy's raging last night. it was amazing. and today was very difficult.

i'm watching dazed and confused right now, while doing some stuff for work.

jason london was ridiculously hot in that movie. love.

i'm sleeeeeeepy.

and looking forward to mani/pedi girls' night on wednesday! followed by a date thursday. woop :)

i'm a woman on a mission.

i'm getting myself on a workout plan stat. things need to change.

speaking of change, my mom and i went to see eat pray love tonight. now all i can think about is traveling the world & living out my dreams.

now i just have to figure out what exactly my dreams are. & how i can afford said traveling.

also, i don't care what the critics say, the movie was amazing. a million times better than the book.

i can't wait for next sunday's cubbie rooftop festies.

it might be my last one of the summer, so it's gonna be a great one.

Rambles...

i drove up to aaron's lake house in michigan sunday morning and spent all day laying in the sun, drinking beer, lounging on boats, jumping on water trampolines, grilling, partying on a sand bar, and watching fireworks from the water.

it was definitely one of the best 4th of july's i've ever had.

i'm currently surfing amazon for a few new dvds.

more specifically, dvds i can put on when it's storming out and i want to just be lazy/fall asleep.

top on the list: now and then.

Sunday (Monday) Night Confessional

i was way to wiped from this weekend to post sunday night confessional last night.

i almost didn't do it tonight either, but here it is....

i downloaded the new moon soundtrack the day after seeing it for the 1st time & have been listening to it nonstop ever since.

yes, i saw it twice.

once with taryn.. on opening night... shameful. the 2nd time was with margaux. & it was her 2nd time too, so that's semi-less embarrassing. ?

this child still amazes me.

& i want her sparkly tights.

i am about to spend my life savings at urban outfitters.

the worker's appreciation 40% off all items (including sale & home stuff) starts tomorrow. i am 100% positive i'll be buying these boots & these knee socks for underneath. it's very likely i'll also be buying this, this, & about 5 other things that i love love love but have yet to try on.

i have to find a date to the patti group christmas party this friday.

Rambles (Updates)...

hello hello hello!

i've got some updates for you all.

1. new moon was phenom.

i mean, it wasn't like oscar worthy or anything, but considering that the 2nd book was my least favorite in the series & in comparison to how terrible the 1st twilight movie was, i was very impressed. the special effects, the acting (ahem, kristen steward), and how closely the movie followed the book were all drastically better. it got me really excited for the 3rd.. i loved it so much i would (will probably) go see it again. :)

2. i went out downtown last night & finally met casey's law school friends.

we did dinner at this "family style" italian restaurant & then went to social 25. the bar itself was just decent, but there was a cover band called the naked karate girls playing & they were so fun!

they kinda reminded me of the spazmatics but they were creepy, not dorky. & they covered rap songs and made them more rock instead of 80's songs.

3. the baby shower is tomorrow.

i've spent far too many hours making homemade cookie dough & frosting, piping, flooding, & decorating. & i have to get up at 8am tomorrow morning, which explains why i'm most likely not going out or doing anything tonight.

4. i want to go to mexico!!!!!

i hope all the deets somehow all come together to make our reunion trip a reality.

sorry for my brief hiatus these past 2 days.

things have been nuts around here on the reals. not exciting nuts, just generally more hectic than usual. we're in the middle of giving our house a mini makeover - painting the walls, ceilings, & baseboards, cleaning closets, putting wood floors in. ugh, it's awful. but we all have our bedrooms back which means no more shacking on floors, couches, & chairs like a homeless.

other than that, i've been working my tail off.

& that's pretty much it.

today peter michael & i took my kitty to the vet.

-sitting pretty like the princess she is-

sammy cat is terrified of the car/her carrying case/the vet because the last time she dealt with the afore mentioned, she woke up without her internal lady parts, totally drugged up on anesthesia, unable to move, & in a great deal of pain.

i'm now $240 poorer, but she's been puking all over the place for the past couple of weeks now, so it was totally necessary that we get her checked out. she cried the most pathetic little howl the whole way which totally broke my heart. & then she had to get bloodwork & a pee sample taken. poor baby! i hope she's okay.

i have a serious attachment to this kitten. it's like i birthed her. so if you happen to remember her while laying in bed & saying your nightly prayers, i would greatly appreche.

&&&& now i'm just chillin.

watching 17 again, tcby in hand.

& i'm pretty sure this is how my evening will go.

i'm going downtown with lisa, kristen, etc. tomorrow night, which guarantees a crazy night to come (you may remember this...) + i have tickets to the cubs game on sunday, so i really have no overwhelming desire to party tonight.
